Full focus on Africa this year

We hope you all had a good start into 2019.

Switchstance Recordings founder Tom Strauch has spent some months in East Africa by the end of 2018 for research and recording sessions for the upcoming Ancient Astronauts album "ZIK ZAK" which is scheduled for a release in August 2019. The album will feature strictly african singers, rappers and musicians. But before this we have releases by brand new Switchstance Recordings artists Muito Kaballa from Cologne / Germany and Afrikan Roots from South Africa. Both releases are heavily loaded with african sounds. Yes, you can really say the focus in 2019 is on Africa for Switchstance Recordings. And we are proud of it. The music from Africa was one of the strongest influences for us and there is so much unknown talent on that continent that yet has to be heard by the people on planet earth.

This coming saturday Tom Strauch and his Family Affairs Cologne team are celebrating again the handmade music from Africa and here is a little video trailer for the night that contains some photos taken by Tom during his journeys. Music by Fela Kuti:
