Ancient Astronauts - Post-tour blog no. 3

Greetins fellow beat headz,

we got some new photos in from our friend Rob Myers (guitar and sitar player of Thievery Corporation and Fort Knox Five) and maria izaurralde that give a good overlook on our recent us tour with the Thievery Corporation live band. The tour started in Austin/Texas where we played together with Bass Nectar and DJ Vadim and Thievery played at the Austin City Limits Festival. Austin, what a great music city in the heart of Texas. Incredible!

From there we travelled to Dallas, Houston, Orlando, Miami, Tampa and Atlanta. More than 20 people together on the road in 2 huge tour busses plus one extra truck that stored all the technical equipment. Kabanjak and me opened up with 2 hour dj sets before the Thievery Corporation live band killed it big time…Sitali, Sleepy Wonder, Rob & Eric, Rob Myers, Sista Pat, Natalia, LouLou, Hash and all the rest of the crew make Thievery Corporation live such a big musical live experience. Kabanjak and me then also rocked the official aftershow parties on the tour which was big fun!

So much positive energy on the road with us. Great great times! Be sure that this live experience with Thievery Corporation will definitely be continued! More news on our next us tour plans soon… peace, love & dope music!
